Biography

A values driven seasoned mining and business executive with a focus on leadership and management. I lead teams and manage processes and systems, while implementing step change to achieve operational excellence in the mining industry. Providing feedback, setting context while identifying critical issues, I hold direct reports accountable through transparent communication while accepting and giving coaching. Developing teams, team members and young executives, while leading small to large size business units to new heights has been a key to my continued success. I am a driven natural leader who leads by example, motivates and empowers employees to be active participants in the organization's success. Among others, I have used the CPORT model with success, which sets out Context, Purpose, Outcome, Requirements and Timelines for all tasks and projects. Through Values Continua, I encourage identification of core value requirements to simply get the job done while focusing on values, safety, transparency and corporate responsibility.
