Biography

Nancy is a process engineer in Hatch’s Climate Change practice. She has support several decarbonization roadmap developments, alternative fuels technology studies, and process efficiency projects for different clients in the mining, metals, and energy sector. The alternative fuel studies included a high-level comparison of possible replacements for diesel-fueled mining equipment, with specific focus on the use of biodiesel and renewable diesel to offset diesel consumption for surface and underground vehicles. In the hydrogen space, Nancy has been involved in many green hydrogen and green ammonia projects looking at high-level production facility designs, current available technologies, cost estimates, renewable power capacity, value chains, consumption profiles, and potential risks. Her passion and interest for this sector has allowed her to work effectively with clients on their decarbonization goals, focusing on identifying low-emission technologies through sustainable solutions. Nancy holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Toronto with a minor in sustainable energy.
