Dr. Philip Dirige, a Senior Specialist Ground Control at Workplaces Safety North (WSN) - Mining Sector, serves the Ontario Mining Industry in the field of health and safety, ground control and mine ventilation, providing adult training, consulting, coordinating and research management, knowledge exchange, and delivery and development of products that are the focus of intervention. Prior to this posting, he was involved in professional activities and exposed to various supervisory positions in different mining operations, and had worked with the academe both in Canada and in the US. Philip also serves as a Sessional Faculty with the Bharti School of Engineering at Laurentian University. He teaches the undergrad course in Occupational Health and Safety, and Drilling and Development, and a graduate course in Occupational Health and Safety Management.
