Biography
John Forster obtained his B.Sc. and MASc degrees at Queen’s University. Following this, he worked as a Post-Masters Research Assistant studying the microwave fragmentation of a synthetic alundum-pyrite ore, where he became interested in microwave assisted comminution. John completed his PhD at the University of Toronto. His thesis investigated the dielectric properties of minerals and ores and the application of microwaves for assisted comminution and ore sorting. He works at Sepro Mineral Systems, carrying out research and development activities pertaining to the application of microwaves in the mining industry.
