M. François-Alexandre Tremblay
1 articleBiography
Holder of a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Université Laval and a Master’s in Industrial Relations from Université de Montréal, François-Alexandre possesses strong expertise in applied research and software development. Before joining Baseline, he contributed to artificial intelligence projects at Ubisoft Montréal as well as in the wood products industry within the FORAC Research Consortium. A published author in AI, he has also received prestigious accolades, including a research grant from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada. Although he has explored various fields, his expertise and interests focus on the application of advanced techniques in combinatorial optimization, industrial process control, and the development of recommendation systems. Among his many accomplishments, he developed an intelligent solution for real-time control of lumber finishing lines in sawmills—a project involving process mapping and system modeling. He also worked on the tactical and operational optimization of off-road (mining) vehicle fleets to minimize distances traveled, ensure proper resource allocation across the site, and reduce productivity losses caused by delays. His expertise also extends to recommendation systems, particularly in the personalization of marketing campaigns and promotional content.
