David has worked as a Safety Executive in the rail, construction and oil and gas industries. David has a Doctor of Philosophy in Safety Science and an MBA in economics. He is also an Expert Independent Advisor to the United Nations International Atomic Energy Authority (IAEA) on the topics of Leadership and Resilience and the NASA Human Spaceflight program. Over the past 10 years David has advised Boards and Executive Teams globally in more than 50 high-risk organizations including some of the world's largest mining companies - Rio Tinto, BHP, Anglo American, Barrick Gold, Newmont, Kinross and Perenti Group.
