Biography

Himesh Patel is an R&D and Product Engineer at FLSmidth, Inc., where he focuses on developing innovative process solutions for the natural resource industry. His primary responsibilities include research and technology development for new concepts, process improvements, optimization, and product management. He has more than seven years of research and industry experience. Before joining FLSmidth, Himesh worked at McClelland Labs, Kinross Round Mountain, Freeport McMoRan, and India Power Corporation. An active member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME), its divisions, and subsections, Himesh is deeply involved in the industry. He is currently vice-chair for the Nevada MPD and secretary-treasurer for the Industrial Minerals & Aggregates Division. Himesh earned an MS in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno, and a BS & MS degree in Mineral Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad. He is passionate about the mineral industry and dedicated to its advancement.
