Biography

Paul is a Director and Principal Environmental Geochemist for Mine Waste Management based in Christchurch, New Zealand. He has been involved in the research and operational management of AMD for 25+ years and has been an author for over 70+ publications. As a Principal Environmental Geochemist, he has been involved in gaining regulatory approvals for mining operations having AMD-related issues including the development of technical supporting AEE’s; the development of AMD management plans including supporting operational protocols; and is an expert witness and third-party independent reviewer for regulators and mining companies. His work includes technical evaluations of AMD management, risks, opportunities, and costs for PFS and FS closure plans. Dr Weber has also been involved in AMD due diligence reporting (>$100M non-discounted) for regulators and potential acquisitions.
