Biography

Geologist, graduate and master in Economic Geology from UFMG, Brazil. Throughout my career I have worked mainly in the areas of petrology, mineralogy applied to mineral processing and geometallurgy. Since 2004, I have developed strategic geometallurgy programs throughout the development of Vale's exploration and brownfield projects in Brazil, Canada, Africa and Indonesia, in addition to supporting tactical geometallurgy programs in operational areas of Vale Base Metals and VALE SA. I participate in the development of geometallurgical models in base metal projects, mainly copper and nickel, as well as phosphate, ETR and iron, resulting in three-dimensional spatial models containing parameters of metallurgical recoveries, concentrate quality and energy consumption, among others. I have frequently participated in discussion forums on the topic of geometallurgy, as a listener or speaker, being part of the Procemin-Geomet technical committee in Chile.
