Biography

I lead the IoT Automation North American business - an Australian owned underground mining technology company with a primary focus on Real Time Situational Awareness. The core solution is the Firefly Smart Lighting system, which is an IoT enhanced LED multi color lighting system which can integrate into the mines current safety and production systems through its IoT interfaces. This integration enables the miners to be immediately notified via different lighting modes that there is an event that they should be aware of. The possibilities of the system are endless given that it integrates with LiDAR, various sensor interfaces (seismic, gas, fire etc), and its available power supply and controller options can also become network enclosures for other purposes. Recently we released DragonFly a new AC powered variant of smart light that meets tunnel project lighting requirements and has a similar set of features to FireFly.
