Biography

Rick Collins is a senior project executive with over 40 years of experience delivering large-scale civil infrastructure and mining projects across the UK, Southern Africa, Chile, and Canada. His career includes leadership roles in landmark developments such as the Channel Tunnel, Lesotho Highlands Water Project, Toronto’s Sheppard Subway, Xstrata’s Nickel Rim South, Codelco's Chuquicamata Mine and Vale’s Voisey’s Bay Mine Expansion. For the past three decades, Rick has been a key leader at Hatch, where he continues to serve as a consultant and project sponsor for Canadian mining ventures. Known for his strategic foresight, technical depth, and pragmatic leadership, he brings a proven ability to guide complex, capital-intensive projects from concept to execution. Rick’s insights are shaped by decades of navigating engineering and construction challenges, stakeholder dynamics, and investment constraints. He is also a Chartered Engineer (UK), underscoring his commitment to professional excellence and technical rigor.
