Russell Schumann joined EGi in 2019 and holds the position of Principal Environmental Chemist.
Russell has 35 years of experience in environmental chemistry, specialising in water quality and treatment and environmental pollution. He also has 25 years of experience in the geochemistry of acid rock drainage (ARD). For the past 5 years Russell has consulted with the mining industry throughout Australia and internationally providing advice on ARD risk management. For the preceding two decades, Russell was a principal member of the acid and metalliferous drainage research group at the University of South Australia. Research focused on fundamental understanding of the geochemical processes involved in ARD, with prominence given to prediction and control.
