Dr. Gateman is an expert in a variety of scanning electrochemical probe microscopy methods that she utilizes to investigate local corrosion of materials and coatings. Dr. Gateman has recently been hired by the University of Western Ontario and holds a Nuclear Waste Management Organization Chair position. Her program will investigate how nuclear related metallic materials locally corrode and how radiation impacts localized corrosion mechanisms.
