Biography

For 30+ years, providing strategic, managerial and technical support in both project and operational compliance, sustainable development, stakeholder and Indigenous peoples engagement, environmental management for mining and infrastructure projects. A particular emphasis has been water and tailings management. More recently, the focus includes carbon footprint reduction, clean energy and climate change adaptation. I have supported various organizations throughout Canada, the Canadian Arctic and abroad. I also have private and public sector experience, including collaborative project work with academic institutions. Many of the projects I have been involved with include multiple cultures and involve remote sites in various climates My areas of specialization include but are not limited to sustainability, responsible closure plan development, land rehabilitation, water management, environmental compliance and climate change adaptation. More recently, In terms of land and water resource protection, I have developed innovation in risk reduction approaches to tailings dams and water management in the mineral sector. I am passionate about protecting drinking water, fresh water resources and engagement of our communities in critical resource development.
