OHS Mining Unit - Govt of Alberta
Muneer Naseer, P.Eng., is the Senior Engineer for Mines within the Occupational Health and Safety branch of the Government of Alberta, where he leads the delivery and enforcement of Alberta’s OHS Mining Program. He has served in public service since 2006 and brings more than 25 years of experience in mining operations, design, technical and safety audits, HSE, and project management.
Muneer has worked closely with industry, manufacturers, and stakeholders to support the safe deployment of autonomous mining technology in Alberta. He currently chairs Alberta’s Mining Expert Panel and is a member of APEGA and the Canadian Association of Chief Inspectors of Mines.
