Biography

Alex Cabrera is the CEO of Prevsis, an AI-driven Occupational Safety and Health software company, and Secretary General of the General Council of Industrial Relations and Labour Sciences in Spain. With a background in Computer Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden and a Master's in Prevention of Occupational Hazards from Mid Atlantic University, Alex has led some of the largest digital transformation projects in Europe and Latin America, including safety digital transformation initiatives at Codelco, Collahuasi, Zijin Mining Continental Gold, among other major mining operations and industries. At Prevsis, he is developing the next generation of digital solutions for safety, health, and wellbeing—including the Risk Context Engine for continuous risk assessment, multiple conversational AI agents for safety management, and advanced visualization simulators. His career spans leadership roles such as Vice President of the Chile-Sweden International Cooperation Fund at the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), Board Member of the Royal Institute of Technology Student Union, and representative on the Engineering School Board. Alex's work has been recognized with numerous awards, including the European Union ICT Prize, Product of the Year and Export Potential Award in Sweden, and most recently the I+D+i Award and Gold Medal with Red Distinction for Individual Contribution from the General Council of Industrial Relations, in collaboration with Spain's National Institute for Safety and Hygiene at Work and the European Agency for Safety and Health.
