Biography

Mines Inspector with the Ministry of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety (OHS Branch – Mines Unit) since 2020, bringing nearly two decades of experience in the mining industry. I am a Professional Geologist (P.Geo.) with a strong technical background developed across Northern Saskatchewan’s diverse mining landscape. My career began in 2004 after graduating from the University of Saskatchewan, and has included hands-on work in diamond exploration, uranium exploration drilling, underground uranium mining, and gold operations (both open pit and underground), as well as gold exploration and environmental remediation projects in the Athabasca region. In addition to my geological expertise, I hold the Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation, reflecting my commitment to advancing health and safety in high-risk environments. I am passionate about fostering strong safety cultures, supporting continuous improvement, and helping ensure that mining operations are conducted responsibly and safely.
