Biography

Erfan is an experienced Process Engineer with over 10 years’ experience in the mining industry. Erfan’s career started with Process Research Ortech involved in pyro and hydrometallurgical test works for various mining projects. During the next 2 years, he participated in titanium dioxide solvent extraction pilot plant and pyrometallurgical process to refine silicon for solar-grade applications. Erfan subsequently moved to Metso Outotec to focus on automation solutions for mineral processing applications. For the next 9 years, he worked on various greenfield projects primarily base metals and gold, from design to commissioning stages as well as brownfield optimization and instrumentation projects gaining hands-on exposure to mineral processing plants. He participated in numerous site audits, new instrumentation, and process control trials at different sites involving grinding, flotation and de-watering process units. Currrently, Erfan is with Worley as senior process engineer, technology and expert solutions and based in Toronto, Canada.
