Biography

Lauren is a principle consultant with ERM Consultants Canada, with 10 years of experience in the mining sector. Located in Sudbury, Ontario, she has become a core member of ERM’s mine closure planning team. She has contributed to the preparation and update of multiple closure and reclamation plans, for mines in all stages of the life cycle, including mines in Ontario, British Columbia and the Northwest Territories. Through her work, she encourages clients to think more strategically about mine closure - to integrate closure considerations as part of their current practices for the purpose of minimizing long-term liabilities and generating value at closure. Her prior experience as Environmental Coordinator included oversight of environmental operations and project permitting with proponents within the base metal and minerals sector. As a consultant, she has a broader base of experience including project management, risk management and permitting support with major capital projects.
