Wayne Donnelly is the Founder and President of Tuff Safety Solutions Canada Ltd. and brings more than 53 years of experience in work-at-heights, scaffolding, and confined space operations. For over 30 years, he has specialized in developing, implementing, and delivering fall protection, confined space, rescue, and scaffold training programs across Canada.
Before founding New Heights Industries and later Tuff Safety Solutions, Wayne spent over 20 years with CN Rail, where he held various operational and leadership roles and helped develop the company’s fall protection program that remains in use today.
Wayne is a recognized industry leader and serves as Chair and voting member of several Canadian Standards Association technical committees, including CSA Z259 (Fall Protection), CSA Z1009 (Management of Work at Heights), and CSA Z797 (Access Scaffolds). He is also a recipient of the CSA Award of Merit (2023) and remains actively involved in advancing workplace safety standards across Canada.
