First Mode
Matthew leads the commercial, product, deployment, and field operations functions for the First Mode hybrid business at Cummins. Prior to his current role, Matthew has a long history in all things energy, from founding a global hydrogen infrastructure development company, having previously led product development and strategy for Shell hydrogen in China, North America, and Europe, to developing subsea drilling systems, floating LNG platforms, and directional drilling systems. His early career was in aviation, as a pilot then maintenance engineer. He made the transition into energy at southwest research institute where he developed innovations in turbomachinery and compression.
