Biography

Mr. Jean L’Heureux is the Director, Critical and Strategic Minerals for BBA. He spent 28 years in the production, research and commercialization of graphite and other industrial minerals. Before joining BBA in January 2022, he worked for 9 years for Mason Graphite where he managed the technical development of the Lac Guéret natural graphite project, from the beginning to the end, from the mineral resources to the 2nd transformation processes, while also being involved with environmental studies, permitting, social acceptability and commercial development. Mr. L’Heureux is a Qualified Person as defined by the NI 43-101 standard. Previously, he worked for 19 years for Imerys, world leader for industrial minerals, 16 of which were devoted to graphite in the Graphite and Carbon division where he held several responsibilities including production, marketing and corporate development. Mr. L’Heureux visited several graphite producers and graphite deposits worldwide on the 5 continents. A stay of 3 years in France, in Imerys’ andalousite mine, completes his professional career record. Mr. L’Heureux has a highly developed commercial approach, is a team player, has excellent active listening skills and is a passionate communicator and educator.
