Fred is a Professional Chemical Engineer from Lehigh University and has been working for FLS or predecessor companies EIMCO and Dorr Oliver Eimco since 1989. He has been focused on thickeners since 1995, and has been involved in many of the world's largest thickeners built since then. Over that span he has worked on thickener projects for most of the largest copper mines in the world as well as many others in gold, iron, alumina, coal and phosphates. He worked on rolling out the very successful deep cone thickener technology from the alumina industry to the rest of the minerals industry and has led in the development of high density thickening over the last 25 years.
