Biography

He has B.Sc. and Ph.D degrees in Mining Engineering. He spends 50% of his time developing new technologies and 50% to apply them to the industry around the world. He is the member of editorial boards of international technical journals. Worked with Orica for 31 years. He has a broad range of experiences in blasting and rock mechanics. He has developed several advanced blasting theories, models, and field measurement systems that have made significant impact to the field. He has developed an applied approach for blast modeling that uses measurable kinematic properties of blasting to formulate blast models and enables the models to catch major trends of blasting and model full-blast design with all design parameters and boundary geometries.
