Abstract:

Underground mining is marked by constant, unpredictable changes in conditions, equipment, and production priorities. Traditional planning methods, while thorough, often struggle to adapt to these inevitable shifts, resulting in inefficiencies and delays. This presentation introduces a new, innovative approach to underground mine planning, supported by disruptive technology that enables rapid scenario modeling and flexible scheduling, empowering mining teams to respond to changes swiftly and effectively.

Our approach emphasizes adaptability over rigidity, allowing engineers to quickly test "what-if" scenarios and make real-time adjustments. By doing so, teams can explore multiple solutions, reduce risk, and make informed decisions that add value to the project.

Key components include:

Rapid Scenario Modeling – Easily create and adjust scenarios to test options and quickly assess impacts.

Flexible Scheduling – A structured yet adaptable framework that accommodates real-time changes on-site.

Enhanced Risk and Cost Management – Adjust schedules on demand to better manage risks and optimize resources.

Informed Decision Support – Scenario-driven insights for proactive and data-backed decisions.

This presentation will showcase the ease of scenario setup and the advantages of flexible, scenario-driven planning, highlighting how this innovative, technology-supported approach equips teams to thrive in the unpredictable underground mining environment. Attendees will gain insights into achieving faster responses, better risk management, and optimized operations for resilient, high-value outcomes.
