Biography

Jason is a Professional Engineer at the Northern Alberta Instutite of Technology (NAIT) with 7+ years of R&D and technology development expertise. He holds M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta. His current research focus includes development of measurement technologies capable of efficiently characterizing mineral resources and mining wastes to improve process efficiency in mining operations and tailings treatment. He is also working on the research relating to exploration and extraction of critical minerals. Prior to joining NAIT, he worked on various R&D projects at Natural Resources Canada and Total E&P Canada in oil sands extraction. Jason enjoys applying scientific principles and new technologies to further advance the energy and mining sector in Canada, both economically and environmentally.
