Biography

Swadhin Saurabh has BS in Chemical Engineering from BIT Sindri, India, and MS in Metallurgical Engineering and an Executive MBA, both from the University of Utah. He specializes in mineral and coal processing. Currently, he works as Product Manager - REFLUX Flotation at FLSmidth Inc., based in Salt Lake City, UT. Before this role, he worked as Process Manager at FLSmidth where he led a team of process engineers to execute projects around the globe. Before FLSmidth, he worked for Millcreek Engineering Company in Salt Lake City as Project Manager. Earlier, he worked for FLSmidth USA as Senior Process Engineer and for Taggart Global (now DRA Taggart) as Process/Project Engineer in US and Australia. In India, he worked as Summer Intern at SAIL Bokaro, and National Metallurgical Laboratory, Jamshedpur. He has worked on over 90 projects globally in base metals, precious metals, coal, and industrial minerals & aggregates. He has experience in R&D, testing, plant design, process and product engineering, project management, and operations. He is a peer reviewer of several international mineral processing journals. He is a professional member of SME and a Qualified Professional member of the Mining and Metallurgical Society of America (MMSA). He worked as Program Committee Chair (2020-21) of the Industrial Minerals & Aggregates Division at SME. He has chaired technical sessions at SME Conferences, Physical Separation Conferences, and International Coal Preparation Congress. He was the recipient of the 2016 Minerals Engineering International Young Persons Award at MEI Conference and the 2021 Young Scientist Award from SME.
