Biography

Dr. Hamid Alizadeh is a Mineral Processing Engineer with extensive research experience focused on enhancement of mineral processing technologies, separation processes and tailings treatment. His research interests include sustainable production of critical minerals from both primary and secondary sources as well as treatment of minerals tailings. Hamid earned his Bachelor's and PhD in Mineral Processing Engineering from the University of British Columbia, where he studied the effects of physicochemical properties of polymers on flocculation characteristics of fine quartz particles. Currently, Hamid is investigating electrochemical surface modification of minerals to improve coarse particle flotation and is drafting critical review articles on treatment and reprocessing of mine tailings.
