Biography

Nidal Dabghi was appointed to Director of Safety since 2022. He has more than 28 years of experience in numerous roles within SaskPower, most recently as Director of Distribution Operation and Maintenance from 2016 to 2022. Mr. Dabghi’s career at SaskPower began with System Test in Regina and then Saskatoon for over 8 years. Since 2006, Mr. Dabghi served in various leadership positions which included maintenance, construction and commissioning in both Transmission and Distribution departments. Also, Mr. Dabghi served as Acting Vice President of Distribution and Customer Services for 6 months in 2018. Prior to SaskPower, he worked in the private industries for over four years as a Technical Representative. Mr. Dabghi holds a Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology from Saskatchewan Polytechnic, a Business Administration Certificate from the University of Saskatchewan, and a Master Certificate in Organizational Leadership from University or Regina. He is a member of Saskatchewan Applied Science and Technology (A.Sc.T.) since 1993. He represented SaskPower at the Doble Engineering committees for over 5 years and served as the Chair of the Doble Insulation committee for 3 years. Mr. Dabghi volunteered for community sports activities where he coached youth soccer for multiple years.
