Biography

Deniz is a mining engineer and a sustainability professional with over 15 years of project management and consulting experience in the mining, environmental and energy sectors. He has worked for intergovernmental, academic and non-profit organizations and industrial clients in Canada, the USA and internationally. Besides spatial, qualitative, and quantitative analyses and assessment methodologies, he specialized in baselining, benchmarking, integrating, and managing sustainability in the natural resource sectors before joining SysEne. At SysEne, Deniz focuses on decarbonization, environment, social, governance (ESG), climate change, risk assessment, carbon management and accounting projects for industrial clients. He holds B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in mining engineering and an M.Sc. degree in Environmental and Resource Management.
