ARTHUR LIEU, MSC, PENG DIRECTOR, PROCESSING & METALLURGY Arthur Lieu has 25 of hydrometallurgical processing and tailings management experience in the uranium mining sector. Prior to joining NexGen, the majority of his career was at Cameco Corporation where he began as Metallurgist at Cameco Key Lake Operations, proceeding to Chief Metallurgist at Cameco Rabbit Lake Operation and ORANO McClean Lake Operation. During his tenure at Rabbit Lake, Mr. Lieu led his team to transform the mill process from intermittent to continuous operation which in turn generated significant per annum revenue and improved treated effluent quality for the mine. Mr. Lieu holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Geochemistry, with a focus on source-term characteristic of uranium waste rock piles at Cameco Key Lake uranium mine. Mr. Lieu is also trained in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt process improvement and optimization. Mr. Lieu is a registered Professional Engineer (P. Eng) with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS).
