Abstract
Traditional frothers like alcohols and glycol ethers have long been the standard in froth flotation—but as the mining industry faces mounting ESG pressures, operators are seeking sustainable alternatives that do not compromise performance. Current synthetic frothers are carbon-intensive, volatile, and often overused to maintain recovery across variable ore types.
Integrity Mining and Industrial (IMI) developed TegraFroth, a bio-based frother with a Renewable Carbon Index (RCI) above 75%. Designed for versatility and low dosage efficiency, TF was evaluated in a series of lab and plant trials across coal, potash, copper, and 4E flotation applications.
TF has produced favorable results in our internal testing at various facilities. In all internal, third party, and on-site evaluations we found an increased recovery, with coal and copper-moly testing showing recovery improvements of over 6%. Metal grade was also improved in most cases.
TegraFroth represents a scalable, responsible solution for increasing recovery while lowering environmental impact. The primary objective of this presentation is to detail our recent performance in plant trials in the Potash and Copper flotation industries that are taking place in Fall 2025.
