Abstract
COVID-19 has presented the world with vast and previously unseen local, regional, and global problems ranging from health issues to the disruption of supply chains. It has had a significant impact on our way of life and inherently the way we conduct and deliver business in an era of globalization.
This presentation addresses some of the key concerns and themes that are being discussed by asset owners, engineering and construction companies, suppliers, and contractors. The themes include impacts on areas such as site indirect, productivity, supply chain, scheduling (engineering and construction), capex, and finally, the risks and potential mitigating measures that projects and project execution plans should proactively have built in.
The presentation is for general information and is in no way comprehensive enough to cover all specifics of projects in study or execution mode. It does, however, present some initial findings and thoughts captured on projects that Hatch is delivering in sectors such as Energy, Infrastructure, and Metals in all regions around the world.
