Abstract
Marco will share real world outcomes, including a 23% reduction in average cycle times at a mine site, that demonstrates a critical link to optimizing haul routes and truck cycles for efficiency across the value chain.
Haul routes and truck cycles are often overlooked for potential productivity improvements. However, eliminating issues such as poor road conditions, traffic congestion, speed restrictions, long route layouts and inconsistent operator practice can help to reduce cycle times, accelerate productivity and reduce light vehicle interaction for additional safety.
The latest advancements in digital twin simulation tools and scenario assessment have opened the door to a new level of productivity and mining process efficiencies. Fleet management systems’ house the necessary data, and with a process to visualize, implement and sustain changes, a mine site could move tonnage in the most optimal manner to reduce cost per ton.
