Abstract
Pastefill is a key process within the successful mining cycle of many underground mines. It is however often under-represented with respect to the technical and operational attention it receives on a daily basis. This talk provides an overview of proven engineering and operational strategies that help mines maximise the use of pastefill as a mining support, while benefiting from shorter cycle times and increased tailings placement underground. Practical examples from our global studies, test work and operating plants will be included in the discussion.
