Abstract
AHS interoperability and open data access are key topics for both mine operators and OEMs developing technology based solutions. Mining operators want the flexibility to easily integrate different systems while OEMs strive to ensure that an overall solution can deliver a safe and secure platform. In the end, both parties strive to build a platform that will deliver the highest level of secure performance, while providing mine operators with the data they require to best support their systems and investment in technology.
The maturity of AHS offerings is now delivering interoperability and open data access at many different levels and the journey continues. This paper will discuss the areas of interoperability available today and planned for the future, and how standards organizations are helping define the right balance between mining operator’s needs and a secure platform.
