Abstract
The support of provincial mine regulators in new operation areas, such as autonomous haulage systems, requires transparency, open business relationships, and aligned goals. This working relationship model is rapidly evolving to ensure safe and defined practices for the approvals and evolution of autonomous mining systems.
They involve many different cooperation areas, including joint training programs, leveraging practices from other global regions, and collaboratively creating guidelines for the requirements and timing of an autonomous solution approval process. This relationship with mining regulators is critical to the rapidly evolving area of autonomous mine operations.
This paper will explore some joint development areas and information exchange to help our shared goal of a risk-free mine operation.
