Abstract
The optimization of the minerals value chain is a holistic approach towards more economically and environmentally sustainable operations. The concept is based on value creation over the whole mining and mineral processing chain.
This new easy to use tool set uses detailed geometallurgical characterization of the ore domains, and concentrator plant models integrated as a digital plant. The digital plant simulates the kinetic behavior of mineral particles in beneficiation processes for each ore types and their blend as well as assess most profitable plant operating scenarios to final payable metal for daily use at concentrator plants. The main objective of this paper is to show how the processing of complex ores can be optimized using Mine to Mill modelling.
