Vanessa began her career in Safety in 2012, working for a utility contractor as a Safety Coordinator. In 2016, she joined Legacy Potash Corp as a Safety Specialist for both the Mill and Mine operations. She graduated from the University of New Brunswick in 2024 with a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, enhancing her expertise in workplace safety management.
Since 2016, Vanessa has been a lead for the Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) in the Routine program, a role she continues to hold today. In 2025, she was promoted to Mine Safety Coordinator, where she now leads a crew, guiding and supporting them in achieving high safety standards across operations.
