Biography

Yael is a member of the advanced decision support group at Hatch Digital team and is active on the ideation, development and implementation of optimization solutions to solve challenging global industry problems. Yael holds a MASc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, with a focus on creating mathematical representations of processes to find the best operational strategy. Yael has over 5 years of experience in Process Systems Engineering, distilling valuable information from industrial processes with the goal of driving business improvement, mainly in the areas of Steel, Base Metals, and Chemical sectors. Yael’s interests are mainly in assisting clients in identifying opportunities where an optimization approach will unlock important insights and value in their operations. These applications may range from digital use case identification, supply chain optimization, debottlenecking studies, dynamic process modelling or holistic value-chain planning.
