Biography

With more than 20 years of construction industry experience, Steve brings both strategic vision and hands-on expertise to his role as President of Sundt’s Heavy Industrial & Mining Group. Since joining Sundt in 2007 as a field engineer, he has built a career spanning power, mining, water and wastewater treatment, heavy industrial, and utility projects. His background includes key roles in preconstruction and estimating, complemented by time spent in the field supporting teams directly. Over the years, Steve has advanced through positions including estimator, project engineer, preconstruction project manager, preconstruction manager, and district manager, gaining the well-rounded perspective needed to lead complex industrial initiatives with strategic vision. Today, he guides Sundt’s mining, power, forest products, and heavy manufacturing work nationwide. Committed to integrity, safety, and long-term sustainability, Steve pairs technical expertise with a collaborative leadership style that fosters trust, innovation, and enduring client relationships.
