Abstract
The 'MacLean Academy' vision was hatched during the pandemic out of necessity - as an equipment manufacturer with significant requirements to provide training and support once mining vehicles are delivered, the sudden loss of travel capabilities meant we had to pivot quickly. This meant building an e-Learning capacity, figuring out how to deliver livestream training, and continuing to develop a virtual training toolbox - all of which are put in place to complement traditional hands-on training that is either offered at minesites or at the MacLean Research and Training Faclity in Lively. This talk will offer up lessons learned in what is still the early days of the buildout of the MacLean Academy, both the hands-on component in Lively and the virtual component via livestream and e-Learning.
