Abstract
The minerals & metals industry has evolved and societies expectations have increased. Furthermore, multiple studies have shown that improvements in employee diversity normally lead to overall improvements in corporate performance.
Most companies have made conscious decisions to improve diversity but many have struggled to do so. One reason is due to inherent biases in the hiring process. In this presentation we will show how behavioural and cognitive analytics can be applied to minimize our biases and provide a data driven approach to support the hiring team. Methodology examples and case studies will be shared to show how diversity & inclusion can be improved, talent pool expanded, all while reducing risks normally associated with the hiring process.
