Abstract
The mining industry’s fast-paced and high-stakes environment requires leaders to foster a culture of psychological safety—a shared belief that team members can take interpersonal risks without fear of judgment or retaliation—to drive innovation and effective problem-solving. Studies show that teams with high psychological safety report a 30% improvement in collaborative problem-solving and a 50% increase in engagement compared to those without. Leaders who prioritize this aspect can unlock their teams’ potential to explore new ideas and strategies directly impacting operational efficiency and bottom-line results.
This session will equip mining industry leaders with practical tools to cultivate psychological safety in workplace conversations. Specific topics will include methods for building trust, strategies for effectively giving and receiving feedback, and techniques for conducting collaborative problem-solving meetings.
