Abstract
Nouveau Monde Graphite is advancing a first-of-its-kind industrial platform in North America: a fully integrated graphite value chain linking the Matawinie Mine in Saint-Michel-des-Saints with the anode-material transformation facility in Bécancour, Québec. Together, these developments form a cornerstone of Canada’s next-level critical minerals ecosystem and a tangible contribution to the western energy, defense and industrial strategies.
This presentation will trace the evolution of the project from concept to execution readiness, highlighting the combination of strategic, financial, and technical levers that enabled progress through a volatile market environment. The discussion will cover how long-term offtake agreements with leading manufacturers, coupled with equity participation from federal and provincial governments, provide a solid foundation for project financing and stakeholder alignment.
Beyond the capital structure, the presentation will outline the project scope, phased development strategy, and the owner-led execution model adopted to drive collaboration and performance across the value chain. Emphasis will be placed on how disciplined planning and early engagement with partners have reduced execution risk and accelerated delivery timelines.
The Nouveau Monde case illustrates how coherent planning, robust governance, and purposeful partnerships can translate strategic vision into investable, executable projects that anchor sustainable industrial growth.
