Abstract
Run of Mine (ROM) fragmentation feeding the comminution circuit is a fundamental mining process. However, oversized rocks feeding the plant have great impact on production. A typical mine can see anywhere from 1 to 5 hours a day of lost crusher production, due to oversize from the ROM. Using a real-time ShovelCam or TruckCam system integrated into the FMS (Fleet Management System) to re-route trucks that have oversize, can have a multi-million-dollar impact on the bottom line and help avert the potential loss in revenue.
