Abstract
Facility owners and asset operators are searching for ways to gain an edge with data analytics. Leveraging data to inform operational, maintenance, and financial decisions can be tricky but the need for predictive and preventive data driven decisions is universal to life cycle management of industrial facilities, with the potential benefits of gaining higher reliability, more efficient operation, and saving expensive equipment from damage.
Black & Veatch’s experience over the last 17+ years in blending human expertise with data analytics yielded significant insight into what works and what doesn’t when applying data analytics in a real-time operating environment. This presentation will reveal best practices in applying data analytics and remote monitoring across a broad swath of industries. The real world examples will provide insight into why certain programs are successful and others fail to achieve sustainable results and discuss what the future of data analytics holds.
